2026 Ottawa Summit

The Tasiujaqiuaqmiut Sheewetaganapoi Consortium will host the next Hudson Bay Summit on February 24–26, 2026, in Ottawa, Ontario.

This gathering is expected to bring together 250 participants, including representatives from Inuit and Cree communities, regional and treaty organizations, and all levels of government, from across Hudson Bay and James Bay. The Summit will focus on advancing Indigenous-led stewardship and supporting community-driven priorities throughout the region.

Information about registration and the event agenda will be shared in the coming months via email, the Consortium website, and social media channels (Facebook, X, Instagram).

To support planning efforts, the Consortium is inviting new members to join its Working Groups and Steering Committee. These groups meet virtually four times a year and play a key role in guiding Summit development. For more information or to get involved, please contact the Secretariat directly.
