Emergency Response

With the growing impact of climate change and human activity, communities face heightened risks in emergency response efforts. The Emergency Response Working Group supports communities and partners in strengthening their respective emergency response systems.

Following the 2024 Roundtable held in Winnipeg, MB, the group was formed to enhance local emergency response efforts. Key priorities include improving local training, increase of resources and knowledge, and establishing communication protocols. These priorities enable communities and partners to manage emergencies more effectively, ensuring timely and efficient responses that reduce risks and protect lives.
