2025 Montreal Roundtable

The 2025 Roundtable took place February 25–27 in Montreal, QC. The theme, Community-Driven Research and Monitoring, highlighted leadership in advancing marine stewardship across the James Bay and Hudson Bay region.
The 2025 Roundtable took place February 25–27 in Montreal, QC, and was a resounding success thanks to the dedicated community experts, knowledgeable partners, and engaged participants who shared their insights and experiences. The theme, Community-Driven Research and Monitoring, highlighted local leadership in advancing marine stewardship across the James Bay and Hudson Bay region.
A key moment of the event was the official launch of the new name, Tasiujaqiuaqmiut Sheewetaganapoi Consortium, alongside an updated website. The much-anticipated Projects Map was unveiled, showcasing impactful initiatives led by partners from across the region.
The Roundtable also welcomed back the youth delegation and featured many insightful presentations on regional work and opportunities. These sessions provided valuable information on funding opportunities, perspectives from funders, and key learnings from local community initiatives—reinforcing the strength of collaboration in this vital work.
